This is an ecumenical group of
High School age youth that meets
every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
Monday Bible Study
We hold a Bible Study
every Monday from 1:00 – 2:30 PM.
This group does long and short type studies of biblical text, topics, and people of the bible.

A Place to Call Home
Our facilities are open to host those needing a place to gather. Such as funerals, family reunions, or other social or meeting events.

Community Ministry Partner
Lansing Iowa Food Trust (L.I.F.T.)
This is our local food bank servicing Allamakee County.
Our church has an on-going donation drive of needed supplies (food, personal care item, paper products, etc.) as well as people volunteering time at the LIFT facility.
Please make sure to donate only non-perishable food items that are within their expiration date.
Check with the church office for drop off times and places and most-needed items throughout the year.
You are always welcome to bring donations to our Sunday worship service.
Annual Events
Lansing UMC hosts the following events each year:
- A summer VBS (Vacation Bible School)
- Operation Christmas Child
- Local Giving Tree to help local families.
- Christmas With Thornton Manor, where people adopt a resident at our local care facility.
- The “J” WALKERS host an ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve worship service
- The church assists in the ecumenical worship service held each year during the towns annual Fish Day Celebration.
- Traditional Easter worship services during Holy Week, and Christmas Eve.
