A Welcome Message from our Pastor:
God’s Blessing to you,
I am best known as Pastor Buck, I’ve been serving Lansing UMC since October 1, 2022. I am a second career pastor, having been called into ministry back in 1999. I started out as a lay speaker in my local church in Davenport, Iowa. That lead into a 4-year Lay Ministry training program, which lead into becoming a Licensed Local Pastor in 2004 and serving 2 small churches part time north of Atlantic, Iowa for 4+ years while still working my full-time secular job. In 2008, I retired from my secular job and started working full-time for our Lord. Four different appointments across the state of Iowa has brought me here to the land of the Driftless and the beautiful Mississippi river.
So, on behalf of Lansing UMC, I welcome you. As a Wesleyan-centered church, the Bible is our foundation and guiding directive on the road to salvation. As we learn together how to love God to the fullest, incorporating those beautiful but also demanding words, Trust and Obey for there is no other way…. we will also learn not only how to love others, but to bring others to Jesus the Christ.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing to Others.
